1. Nightmare on Elm Street 1984 and 2010 parallels

    The golden rule of remakes: Take everything that built up tension or had a little bit of subtlety to it and throw that out the window and replace it with CGI and in-your-face-scary!

    For example; Since Freddy from the 1984 version made sparks with his gloves, Freddy from the 2010 version had to have fireworks come out of his! 

    I love this quote, because it’s so relevant to the modern horror movie remakes! Not only A Nightmare on Elm Street, neither just the other remakes Platinum Dunes has been spewing out throughout the last few years. This quote really sums up the endless cycle of remakes that we’ve been getting the last years.
